As promised in my first newsletter, I'll regularly be featuring either a wellness business making a difference or a non-profit organization doing good in the world. For our inaugural Community Spotlight, I'm delighted to highlight Pilates Nosara, a vibrant studio in Costa Rica owned by the remarkable Page Sieffert.
My first encounter with Page perfectly captures the spirit of her studio. A few years ago, while on vacation in Costa Rica, I walked into Pilates Nosara to introduce myself, having heard wonderful things about Page. In an industry where professional relationships can sometimes be guarded, Page's immediate warmth and openness was a breath of fresh air! Not only did she welcome me warmly, but she also invited me to teach my BASI advanced education course, Pilates for Injuries & Pathologies, at her studio—despite our different Pilates education backgrounds and company affiliations.
This generous spirit of collaboration has blossomed into a meaningful professional relationship and friendship. Page has mentored me in retreat organization, we've conducted workshops together, done an Instagram Live retreat chat, surfed together, and now we're exploring future collaborations. Her willingness to share knowledge and support fellow practitioners exemplifies the best of our Pilates community.
