Mallorca, the largest of the Spanish Balearic Islands, is a paradise of crystal-clear waters, dramatic coastlines, charming villages, and rich history. Join us for a week of movement, connection, adventure, and relaxation as we immerse ourselves in the beauty and culture of this extraordinary Mediterranean island.
During our week together, you'll enjoy daily Pilates classes with me, daily yoga classes with Angela, nourishing meals prepared by our in-house chef, sound healing and meditation, sunset hikes, and excursions to some of Mallorca's most spectacular turquoise-water beaches and hidden coves. We'll also explore a local village market, spend a day on a private boat charter swimming and snorkeling in the Mediterranean, and enjoy plenty of free time to relax by the saltwater pool, wander local villages, or simply soak in the beauty of your surroundings.
All activities are optional, and the retreat is open to all fitness levels. Whether you're new to Pilates and yoga or have years of experience, modifications and options will be provided so that everyone can participate comfortably and confidently.
What does Barefoot Luxury mean?
For us, Barefoot Luxury isn't about five-star hotels or extravagant amenities. It's about creating extraordinary experiences in beautiful places. It means slowing down, sharing meals made with fresh local ingredients, moving your body, swimming in crystal-clear waters, watching the sunset with new friends, and waking up each day feeling inspired and alive.
In Mallorca, Barefoot Luxury takes the form of an authentic Mediterranean villa, breathtaking natural beauty, meaningful connection, and the simple pleasures that make life rich. It is a reminder that true luxury is not always found in excess, but in presence, authenticity, and unforgettable experiences.
Leave your routine behind and embrace a week of self-care, healthy living, adventure, and fun. Wake up to breathtaking views, enjoy movement classes and leisurely brunches, spend your days exploring charming towns, swimming in the Mediterranean, relaxing by the pool, or simply soaking in the beauty of island life. This retreat is an invitation to nourish your body, restore your spirit, and celebrate life in one of the most beautiful corners of the Mediterranean.
With love, Samantha Wood
Our retreat home, La Casa de La Calma, is located in the peaceful village of Sa Cabaneta, just 15 minutes from Palma and surrounded by breathtaking views of the Tramuntana mountains. Set on an 8,000-square-meter property filled with gardens, fruit trees, and quiet spaces for reflection, it offers the perfect setting to slow down, reconnect, and embrace the rhythm of island life.
What makes this retreat especially meaningful is that La Casa de La Calma is not a commercial resort, but a lovingly restored family home. The property belongs to my dear friend Angela, who grew up here as a child and later returned to transform her family home into a beautiful retreat space. Her care and attention can be felt throughout the property, creating an atmosphere that is warm, welcoming, and deeply personal. Staying here feels less like checking into a hotel and more like being welcomed into a special corner of Mallorca.
The main house features comfortable guest rooms and communal living spaces designed for connection and relaxation, while poolside garden rooms offer additional privacy and direct access to the outdoor areas. The grounds are filled with mature trees, flowering gardens, and local wildlife, creating a peaceful atmosphere throughout the property. Meandering pathways lead to a beautiful saltwater swimming pool, while indoor and outdoor gathering spaces invite connection, conversation, and shared meals with new friends.
Our movement sessions will take place in a spacious yoga shala filled with natural light and panoramic valley views, as well as on an outdoor terrace surrounded by orange, lemon, almond, and fig trees. Whether practicing Pilates at sunrise, swimming in a secluded cove, sharing stories over dinner, or stargazing from the terrace, you'll experience the magic that has drawn travelers to Mallorca for generations.

LEAVE YOUR IMPRINT

I love retreats—both attending and hosting them! There are so many amazing options out there, but what makes mine stand out?
My retreats are lighthearted. We’ll enjoy healthy and delicious food, plenty of exercise, and some spiritual practices. But we’ll also have fun! Maybe a glass of wine, a piece of chocolate cake, or even a night out on the town.
Each retreat includes a community service activity that benefits the local environment and residents, which brings me immense joy.
Join us for wellness, community, and making a positive impact.
